Hello ibu  and all YASAP friends in the Netherlands. How are you? I hope everything will be fine there. My friends and I here are fine.

           I would like to share a little about the journey of the program, where we accompany farmers in implementing organic farming systems, especially in the farmer group headed by Mr Emeritus Yunus Polly. At first we were a little overwhelmed, because we had to share our time. But with the presence of friends from Kefa, we were helped so much that we were able to accompany the farmer group. We have been assisting on this land for the last few months, where we got a wetland demonstration plot, namely rice fields.

              From this assistance, we also learned how to approach farmers, who have the motivation to change and love nature more. Mr. Polly himself was very receptive, even though there was a problem that he couldn't take part because of the skin disease he had on his legs, so he only took part in monitoring.

               He was also interested in our plans and accepted with open arms the innovations being developed, such as NPK Nutrition and Bokashi fertilizer and pesticides that we were developing. For now, we are trying to continue to provide motivation and carry out activities such as spraying. Even though the land we obtained from him is not very large, we are confident that with our efforts we can provide examples and comparisons between the use of organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer.
